Black Chalk Wine lies on the banks of the River Test, making it a beautiful venue to visit and to taste some of England’s finest wines. On our self-guided walking tour, you can enjoy our vineyards and soak up the sights of The Test Valley at your own pace! 


Check in at our Tasting Room to collect your walking tour map, which will guide you around our vineyards on various routes that also take in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Dotted around the routes are QR code sign posts, which when scanned, provide audio commentary from the Black Chalk team, giving you insights into the viticultural cycle. Included in the tour price is a glass of our award-winning Classic Sparkling Wine, which you can enjoy on your return to the Tasting Room. 


The vineyard walk is available to book on the hour, every day from 10am to 3pm, with some reduced availability in the winter. Your booking time is just an indication for us to know how many people to expect each day - so don't worry if you're running late! Bookings are not obligatory, it is possible to drop-in and purchase the map directly from the Tasting Room, but a mobile device with cellular data is required to access the audio commentary. 


PLEASE NOTE: Our Levels Walk is currently closed. Take care on roads near the electric fences that surround the vineyard (they are live and in working order!). Do not touch the vines at anytime in the vineyards. Dogs are welcome to join you, but please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times.
