Moon Roast coffee masterclass with lunch at Black Chalk Wine

- Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Andover
Join us on Friday 6th June for a special afternoon with coffee experts Moon Roast. Moon Roast is an award winning, small batch specialty coffee roastery built on four generations of expertise. They carefully hand roast and craft coffees at thier site in Hampshire, with a small team that is passionate about our craft. They strive to produce excellent coffee, leaving a minimal ecological footprint, embracing a traceable 'Farm to Cup' ethos with all their suppliers.
This special event is designed to deepen your understanding of what sets specialty coffee apart from commodity coffee. Through expert guidance, we’ll uncover the differences in production, taste, and ethics that define the two ends of the coffee spectrum.
The afternoon will include:
An introduction to Moon Roast – their philosophy, approach, and the evolution of specialty coffee in the UK.
An in-depth look at coffee production – from global supply chains to artisanal roasting, and how choices at every stage impact quality and sustainability.
A guided cupping and tasting session – compare and contrast a range of coffees to highlight flavour, complexity, and provenance.
A seasonal mixed platter lunch – served with a flight of Black Chalk wines, selected to complement the tasting experience.
A curated pairing finale – featuring a Moon Roast specialty coffee served alongside Black Chalk salted caramel truffles..
